Last Curve Coming soon

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Starting with version 0.16.0, Last Curve stores your progress in the cloud, so it is not lost when you change phones or reinstall the game. This page explains what is stored, why, where, for how long and how to delete it. The game has no ads, does not sell data and does not track you across other apps or websites. In earlier versions, nothing leaves the device. Version 0.17.0 adds friends: what they see about you is in Friends and what they see. Version 0.18.0 adds friend notifications.

What is stored in the cloud

  • An account identifier, created by the game. It is not your name or your email.
  • If you sign in with Game Center (iPhone) or Play Games (Android): the player identifier the store provides, your nickname there and, on Play Games, the address of your profile picture. The game does not receive your email or your password.
  • Your progress: unlocked routes, coins, cars, upgrades, medals, records and settings.
  • The ghost car of your best time on each route.
  • Tournaments created in tournament mode, with the names participants type and each one's times. Use nicknames if you prefer.
  • For friends (from 0.17.0, only when signed in with the store account): the username you choose, your friend code, your best time on each route with the car used, your friends list, the friend requests sent and received, and the accounts you blocked.
  • For notifications (from 0.18.0, with the Game Center or Play Games account): the code Apple or Google give the game to deliver notifications to this phone, whether you allowed or denied notifications in the system, the system, the language and the game version. One per device.
  • For online tournaments (from 0.19.0, only with the store account): the tournaments you create (name, route, weather, car, deadline and who can join; a private tournament's password is stored scrambled and cannot be read back), the tournaments you join, with your username, your best time and car, and the ghost car of that time.
  • Reports you make or that others make about you: who reported, whom, the reason, the username at the time and the date.
  • Device and app data: a device identifier, the model, the system (iOS or Android), the game version and the dates of the last save and of the last time the game was opened. They show which device each progress came from when two phones have different progress.

If you play without signing in to any account, you are a guest: a guest account is only created once there is progress to keep, and it holds the same data, without nickname or picture.

Friends and what they see

To use friends you choose a username, unique in the game. Do not use your real name if you do not want to. Friendship only exists by request and acceptance, from the friend code, which you share with whomever you want.

  • Only your friends see your best time on each route, the car of each record, your ghost car and how many friends you have.
  • Anyone with your friend code sees your username, to know whom they are sending a request to. Whoever receives your request sees your username and your code.
  • Your progress, your coins, your friends list and the accounts you blocked are visible to no one.

Removing a friend or blocking takes away the other person's access at once. Friends do not see your email or your store account.

Notifications

From version 0.18.0, the game can notify you on your phone when someone sends you a friend request, when your request is accepted and when a friend beats your time on a route. Permission is asked the first time you reach the menu, and you turn them on and off under Settings → Account → Notifications. We keep whether you allowed or denied them, so nothing is sent to a phone that denied. A notification only carries the friend's username and the route name, in the game's language.

Turning notifications off, signing out or deleting the account removes this phone's code from the cloud. If you uninstall the game, the code stops working and is deleted the next time the server tries to use it.

Online tournaments and what is shown

From version 0.19.0, players signed in with the store account and with a username can create tournaments and join others'. Each tournament's standings show every participant's username, best time and car, and the leader's ghost car races with everyone else.

  • Public tournament: listed for any store account, which can also see the standings.
  • Code-only or private tournament: anyone with the code sees the tournament's name, route and creator; only participants see the standings. Joining a private one needs the password.
  • The tournament link (lastcurve.com/t/CODE) opens a page that anyone with the link can see, even without the game. For a public tournament: its name, route, weather, car, creator, number of drivers and time left; once it ends, also the final results, with the username and time of the top ten. For a code-only or private one, only the name, route, weather and deadline: the creator, the drivers and the results stay in the game.

Reports and blocking

You can report a friend for an offensive username, an impossible time or another reason. Only the game team sees reports, and it can reset the username, remove a time from the friends leaderboard or deactivate the account. In an online tournament, participants can report the tournament name or another participant, and the team can close, hide or delete the tournament, remove a time or remove someone from it. Reported players are not told who reported them. Blocking removes the friendship and stops new requests from that account; the blocked list keeps each account's username, so you can recognize whom you blocked.

Why

Only to make the game work: keeping your progress, restoring it on another device, showing your friends the leaderboard and your ghost, running online tournaments, handling reports and helping you when you ask for support. There is no advertising, consumer profiling or behavioral analysis. The analytics tool bundled with the account service is turned off in the game.

Where and who handles it

Data is stored on Firebase, by Google (Google Cloud), on servers in the United States. This is an international data transfer, made under Google's contractual safeguards. Google acts as a processor on our behalf and does not use this data for other purposes. To protect the service from abuse, Google's servers log the IP address of requests for a few weeks, and the device is checked by Apple's (App Attest) and Google's (Play Integrity) integrity services, which only tell the game whether the app is genuine. Notifications are delivered by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on iPhone, by Apple's notification service.

No data is sold or shared with third parties.

For how long

  • For as long as the account exists.
  • When two devices have different progress and you choose one, the other is kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
  • A guest account left behind because you signed in to an account that already existed is deleted after 30 days.
  • After a deletion request, the account stays deactivated for 30 days and then everything is permanently deleted, including the username, friendships, requests and the reports it appears in.
  • An unanswered friend request expires after 30 days.
  • An online tournament is deleted entirely 30 days after it ends: standings, ghosts and password. Deleting an account also removes the tournaments it created and its entries in others' tournaments.
  • The notification code is kept until you turn notifications off, sign out or the code stops working.
  • A report is kept until the account of the reporter or of the reported player is deleted.
  • The log of what the team does in the admin panel (grants and moderation) keeps the account identifier and the action, and for a reset username also the name. It is kept to know who did what, even after the account is deleted.

How to delete

In the game, under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by email. The step-by-step guide and what happens in each case are in Delete account.

What stays only on the device

The game works offline: your progress is always kept on the device and goes to the cloud when there is a connection. Nothing is sent during a race. When you uninstall the game, the system deletes the files on the device; what is in the cloud stays there until you delete the account.

Exporting a tournament

In tournament mode, the Export button creates a spreadsheet or an image with the standings and opens the system's share sheet. You choose where it goes, and it is sent by the app you choose.

Permissions

  • Internet: to save and restore your progress in the cloud.
  • Vibration: for haptic feedback during the race. It can be turned off in the game settings.
  • Notifications (from 0.18.0): for friend alerts. Asked the first time you reach the menu, and can be turned off in the game or in the system.

Your rights

Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you can ask for confirmation that we process your data, and for access to it, its correction, deletion and portability. Processing is based on performing the service you asked for by using the game and, for protection against abuse, on legitimate interest. Write to lastcurvegame@gmail.com.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling other data, this page will be updated beforehand, with the date above. Changes of this kind also appear in the privacy information on the App Store and Google Play.
